I was once (not once but more than that) approached by a few people trying to offer product and business plans that involve MLM.

to come clean, I am one of the Maleisis with no further ambition to be super duper rich. yes, I do give a lot of excuses in order to be successful. I have no business minded. I am not a strategic person. I have no talent except in teaching and spending money. I sound such a big failure.

because of the desire to be rich, my husband invested RM30k to a MLM scam last 2008 and it turned out to be a flop. it has been 6 years he still has to pay RM327 to a bank for the loan he did to invest in the scam. from the day he knew he was deceived, he promised not to trust any MLM anymore.
we met the guy who introduced him to the scam plan. he's driving Wish, but we could only wish we could own a Wish. RM30k given to that Navy officer could be used as a down payment for a Vellfire! but past is past. I just don't want a same past to happen.

the reason why I tried so damn hard to avoid myself from joining those business plan and group is I hate when people offered me something I don't really need. as if you have your own humble lunch, but suddenly someone came up to you and tried to woo you to a new restaurant in which they promised that the food served is going to be perfectly sedap. but at the end, your palette can't take it. same goes to all these business plan. memula sebelum join they promised us moon and the sun that the business is going to be easy and fruitful. tapi sebenarnya, orang yang takde business minded like me, we actually cannot force ourselves to do it the same as those yang very strategic, sweet talker and good in convincing people. at the end kita tak akan berjaya jugak. leader tengok kita sebagai downline yang takde perkembangan, do you think he/she is going to do all the jobs for us and at the end kita yang dapat bonus tu? tak kan.

so when I hate people approach me for something I don't really need and like, I just don't want to approach people for that something because there might be other people who have the same feeling.

when it comes to the testimony of the products, oh come on sometimes absurd gila kot. ade yang gegendang telinga pecah boleh sambung balik after consume a few sachets of it. I can see that the business is not really focusing on the products, but more on the business strategy. when it is too over the top, you should worry on the content. for example macam beauty cream. boleh memutih, mencerah, meratakan tone, menghilangkan jerawat bla bla bla dalam 3 kali penggunaan. pelik tak? misai nak tumbuh panjang pun bukan dalam masa 3 hari, walaupun pakai macam-macam jenis minyak.

lastly, (I know what I am gonna sounds so cliché mothafaka loser) my life isn't about being rich and luxurious. I was born as a daughter of a middle class parent. I was raised to understand that having a good enough life is good enough. My parents emphasised that having a good job promised a good life. My father never sold anything in his own entire life, never join any kind of business plan, but he is a successful breadwinner of the family. I had enough clothes to wear, enough books to read. he successfully made me a teacher. you don't have to be a millionaire to produce top class children. I may be driving only Nissan where those MLM ladies are driving BMW to buy their breakfast, but my car moves, the BMW also moves. What makes the different apart from the brands? if BMW can cook you breakfast, I might consider having one. sedap tak sedap kereta tu comes 2nd or 3rd. as long as the car is not snorting, that is sedap enough. ko taknak melambung-lambung dalam kereta murah, elak jelah bonggol dan lubang (dah orang kata kereta mahal tak melambung and bergoyang)

i may not afford genuine Gucci and LV, apa lagi Chanel dan Hermes. but i'm happy enough to own Michael Kors. tak chokia sangat, tak mahal nak mampos sampai cirit. but still I am a happy handbag owner. my handbag is spacious and looks classy enough for me. what else to wish for? if those rich afford their dresses to be tailored by Shomir Izwa and Hatta Dolmat, without having to join MLM, i have those designers' RTW collections. ok lah nk apa lagi. baju prada lace with Swarovski stones tu bukan boleh pakai pegi Tesco. RTW is good enough lah.

so for what reason should i join a MLM plan? to challenge myself? baik aku masuk Fear Factor pastu makan ulat. ah come on... If MLM makes everybody rich, why not Syed Bukhari, Robert Kwok and Tony Fernandes invested? MLM makes the top leader richest, the leader rich and you work like crazy to make yourself a leader.

if you say enough, you're going to feel full already. people wanted to be rich because they wanted to be like others. and tengok strategi MLM. mesti show off nak mampus kat media social.so those yang full of nafsu duniawi mula tak senang duduk, nak jugak life camtu. apa yang kita dapat dengan memiliki sebiji Porsche? Kepuasan. kepuasan duniawi je. makan 30 biji donat pun boleh jadi kepuasan duniawi jemah jemah sekalian.

all in all, semuanya balik pada diri. apa kita nak dalam hidup? kekayaan? kebebasan? ketenangan? Tanya diri sendiri. don't follow others. we are not all born the same. choose your own path.

and i choose the road not taken. i don't need to be a millionaire. that is why i am not going to take that opportunity. sorry.
